Possible Causes
Loose brine line connection drawing air, Low brine level causing air intake, Leak on suction side of brine system, Recent plumbing work introducing air
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Close inlet valve before tightening any suction fittings.
- Check brine connections: Inspect all brine line fittings at the valve head and brine well for looseness. Tighten gently.
- Verify brine level: Ensure the brine tank has adequate water to cover the air check intake during draw.
- Bleed air: Run a manual regeneration to backwash and rinse out trapped air from the resin tank.
- Inspect for leaks: Look for small leaks on the suction side that could draw air instead of brine.
Persistent air noises may indicate a cracked brine line or faulty air check valve that should be replaced.
