BWT softener resin tank makes gurgling or air noises during service

Safety first: Close inlet valve before tightening any suction fittings.

• Check brine connections: Inspect all brine line fittings at the valve head and brine well for looseness. Tighten gently.
• Verify brine level: Ensure the brine tank has adequate water to cover the air check intake during draw.
• Bleed air: Run a manual regeneration to backwash and rinse out trapped air from the resin tank.
• Inspect for leaks: Look for small leaks on the suction side that could draw air instead of brine.

Persistent air noises may indicate a cracked brine line or faulty air check valve that should be replaced.
