Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the inlet valve before opening the valve head or brine connections.
- Observe brine draw: During the brine draw stage, mark the brine level and check after 10–15 minutes. If unchanged, proceed with cleaning.
- Clean injector: Remove the BWT injector/nozzle assembly from the valve head. Soak in vinegar or a mild descaler to remove scale, then rinse and reinstall.
- Flush brine line: Disconnect the brine hose at both ends and flush with warm water to clear blockages. Replace if brittle or kinked.
- Check air check valve: Remove and clean the air check/float assembly in the brine well. Ensure the ball or float moves freely.
- Confirm water in brine tank: Ensure there is sufficient water in the brine tank to create brine. If dry, the refill stage may be malfunctioning.
After reassembly, run another regeneration and confirm that the brine level drops. If not, the internal brine valve may require replacement.
