Possible Causes
Failed RTC chip on BWT control board, Depleted backup battery (if present), Frequent power interruptions, Corrupted time data
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Reset time: Enter the settings menu and manually set the correct time and date. Save and exit.
- Check backup battery: If your BWT model uses a coin-cell or small backup battery on the PCB, inspect and replace it with the same type if voltage is low.
- Stabilize power: Use a UPS or surge-protected outlet if the installation suffers frequent outages.
- Factory reset: Perform a factory reset and reprogram all parameters.
If E14 returns after these steps, the RTC circuitry on the control board is defective and the board should be replaced.
