E14 error and the unit reports excessive water usage or frequent regenerations

Safety: Disconnect power before probing electrical connections. Use caution when checking for leaks.

• Check for real leaks: Close all taps in the house and observe the water meter. If it still moves, there is a plumbing leak that must be fixed first.
• Inspect bypass/mixing valve: Ensure the Cillit bypass or blending valve is not partially open in a way that causes recirculation or ghost flow through the meter.
• Verify programming: Confirm that the correct flow meter size and pulses per liter are set in the controller according to the Cillit manual.
• Check sensor cable routing: Ensure the flow sensor cable is not run alongside high‑voltage cables that could induce noise. Re‑route or shield if necessary.
• Replace flow meter: If the controller shows flow when no water is being used, replace the Cillit turbine flow meter and retest.
