Clack water softener display is on but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the front cover.

Steps:

• Inspect keypad area: Remove the front cover and check for moisture or condensation around the keypad and display. Dry thoroughly if present.
• Check ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable between the keypad and control board is fully seated. Reseat both ends.
• Test button response: Restore power and test each button. If some buttons work and others do not, the keypad membrane is likely failing.
• Replace module: Install a new Clack display/keypad module if the keypad remains unresponsive.

Note: Avoid using harsh cleaners on the keypad surface to prolong its life.
