Possible Causes
Worn keypad membrane, Moisture under keypad, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Faulty display/keypad module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the front cover.
Steps:
- Inspect keypad area: Remove the front cover and check for moisture or condensation around the keypad and display. Dry thoroughly if present.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable between the keypad and control board is fully seated. Reseat both ends.
- Test button response: Restore power and test each button. If some buttons work and others do not, the keypad membrane is likely failing.
- Replace module: Install a new Clack display/keypad module if the keypad remains unresponsive.
Note: Avoid using harsh cleaners on the keypad surface to prolong its life.
