Steps:

Verify installation direction: Ensure the arrow on the Clack turbine meter points in the direction of water flow.
Clean turbine: Remove the meter housing and clean the turbine of any debris or scale. Ensure it spins freely.
Check programming: Confirm that the correct meter size (e.g., 1", 1.25") and type are selected in the controller.
Bleed air: After reassembly, slowly open valves to purge air from the system, as trapped air can cause erratic meter readings.
Monitor usage: Compare displayed usage to actual water meter readings over several days to verify accuracy.

Tip: If your water contains sand or grit, install a prefilter to protect the turbine.

Clack water softener’s meter does not register flow accurately; gallons used seem too low or too high.
