  • Empty tank: Scoop out salt and sludge into a suitable container. Dispose of according to local regulations.
  • Clean interior: Wash the brine tank with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Inspect brine well and float: Clean the brine well and float assembly of any buildup.
  • Refill with quality salt: Use high-purity solar or pellet salt recommended by Crystal Quest. Avoid overfilling; leave space above the salt.
  • Install prefilter: If sediment is present, add a Crystal Quest sediment prefilter upstream.
