Possible Causes

High inlet pressure, Undersized plumbing, Loose pipe supports, Fast-opening/closing valve cycles

Safety: Turn off water before adding any mechanical devices to the plumbing.

Check inlet pressure: Measure house pressure. If above Culligan’s recommended maximum, install a pressure-reducing valve.
Secure piping: Add or tighten pipe clamps and supports near the softener and main lines.
Install water hammer arrestors: A plumber can add hammer arrestors near the softener or at problem fixtures to absorb surges.
