Softener control display is blank or intermittently turns off

Safety: Work only with low-voltage connections; do not open the transformer itself.

• Check outlet: Verify the wall outlet has power by plugging in another device.
• Inspect transformer: Ensure the Culligan transformer is warm to the touch (not hot) and the low-voltage plug is firmly connected to the control.
• Wiggle test: Gently move the cord and connector while watching the display. Flickering indicates a loose connection or broken wire.

If power is present at the connector but the display remains blank, the control board likely needs replacement.
