Possible Causes
Clogged injector, Plugged brine line, Stuck brine valve, Regeneration disabled in programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Bypass the softener and disconnect power before opening the valve head or brine connections.
- Check programming: Ensure the unit is set to meter-initiated or time-initiated regeneration and that the capacity and hardness are correct.
- Observe a manual regen: Start a manual regeneration and watch the brine tank. Confirm that water level drops during brine draw and refills at the end.
- Clean injector and brine line: Remove and clean the injector and throat. Disconnect and flush the brine line and safety float assembly to remove salt plugs.
- Inspect brine valve: Verify that the brine valve in the control head moves freely and is not stuck with debris.
