How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the control housing.
- Dry the panel: If condensation or splashes have reached the display, gently dry the exterior and allow the unit to sit unplugged for several hours.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control cover and check the flat ribbon cable between the display/keypad and the main board. Reseat both ends and ensure the locking tabs are engaged.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on connectors or tracks near the keypad area. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Test keys: After reassembly, power up and test each key. If some or all keys remain non-functional, the keypad membrane or full display module must be replaced.
