How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not operate the softener with extremely low pressure; it may not regenerate correctly.
- Measure pressure: Use a pressure gauge on a nearby tap to confirm inlet pressure. Ecowater softeners typically require at least ~1.4–2 bar.
- Check valves: Ensure the main stopcock and Ecowater bypass valves are fully open in the service position.
- Clean pre-filters: If a sediment or carbon pre-filter is installed, replace or clean the cartridge. A clogged filter can cause low pressure.
- Inspect inlet screen: Remove and clean any inlet screens on the Ecowater valve body.
- Sensor check: On models with a pressure sensor, inspect the sensor and wiring. Replace if pressure is normal but Err 12 persists.
