Possible Causes
Inlet pressure above Ecowater maximum rating, Faulty or misreading pressure sensor, Thermal expansion in closed system without expansion vessel, Control board analog input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Excessive pressure can cause leaks or burst components. Address pressure issues promptly.
- Measure pressure: Attach a pressure gauge to a cold tap and record static and dynamic pressure. Compare with Ecowater specifications.
- Install pressure reducer: If pressure is consistently high, have a plumber install or adjust a pressure reducing valve upstream of the softener.
- Check expansion vessel: In closed systems with a combi boiler, ensure a properly sized expansion vessel is installed to absorb thermal expansion.
- Inspect pressure sensor: If measured pressure is normal but Err 13 appears, inspect and replace the Ecowater pressure sensor as needed.
