How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate and depressurize the system before rotating or removing tanks.
- Check tank orientation: On Ecowater twin/duplex systems, verify that each resin tank is correctly oriented and locked into its valve head.
- Inspect position sensor: Locate the tank position switch or sensor on the valve assembly. Ensure it is firmly mounted and actuated by the tank cam or magnet.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wiring to the control board. Reseat connectors and inspect for damage.
- Re-index tanks: Follow the service manual to re-index or recalibrate tank positions in the controller. If Err 17 persists, replace the sensor or control board as required.
