Possible Causes
Venturi/injector clogged, Brine line blocked or kinked, Brine valve not opening, Control not initiating regeneration due to incorrect programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and close the bypass before opening the brine system.
- Check regeneration history: Review the Ecowater display for last regeneration date. If no recent cycles, verify time, hardness, and capacity settings so the unit can schedule regenerations.
- Inspect brine tank: Confirm there is water at the bottom of the tank and that salt is not bridged above the water. Break up any salt bridge.
- Clean venturi/injector: Remove and clean the injector and nozzle assembly on the valve head to restore suction.
- Check brine line and valve: Ensure the brine hose is not kinked and that the brine valve coil operates during brine draw (you may hear or feel it click).
- Manual regeneration test: Start a manual regeneration and observe whether the brine level drops during the brine draw stage. If not, the brine valve or injector assembly may need replacement.
