Water softener leaks from the brine tank or around the brine well

Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.

• Inspect brine tank: Look for visible cracks or splits in the tank walls, especially near the bottom and around fittings.
• Check brine well: Ensure the brine well tube is seated correctly and the cap is tight. Inspect the float assembly for leaks at its connections.
• Examine brine line: Tighten hose clamps or push-fit connectors at the brine tank and valve head. Replace any cracked tubing.
• Address overfill: If the tank is overfilled, see the overfill troubleshooting steps (similar to Err 15) and repair the float or brine valve.
