Possible Causes
Salt bridge in brine tank, Clogged venturi/eductor, Blocked brine line, Stuck brine valve or float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass before working in the brine tank or valve. Wear gloves and eye protection.
Steps to fix:
- 1. Check for salt bridge: Push a broom handle straight down into the salt. If you hit a hard crust with empty space below, break up the bridge so salt falls to the bottom.
- 2. Inspect brine level during regen: Start a manual regeneration and watch the brine level. If it does not drop during brine draw, clean the EcoWater venturi/eductor and check the brine line for kinks or clogs.
- 3. Clean brine valve and float: Remove the brine well cover and lift out the float assembly. Clean off salt buildup and ensure the float moves freely. Replace the EcoWater brine valve/float assembly if damaged.
- 4. Refill and test: Reassemble, add fresh salt if needed, and run another regeneration to confirm brine is being drawn.
