Possible Causes
Clogged injector/nozzle, blocked injector screen, plugged brine line, stuck brine valve, air leak at brine line fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Place the valve in bypass and depressurize before opening the injector housing. Wear eye protection.
- Check brine line: Inspect the brine line from the Fleck valve to the brine tank for kinks, cracks, or loose fittings. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Clean injector and screen: Remove the injector cap on the Fleck valve body. Take out the injector nozzle and throat and the small screen. Soak them in vinegar or a mild acid cleaner to remove iron/scale, then rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect brine valve: Check the brine valve assembly in the valve head for debris or sticking. Clean or replace the brine valve if it does not move freely.
- Test brine draw: Return the unit to service, start a manual regeneration, and observe the brine level. It should drop steadily during brine draw.
