Possible Causes
Insufficient rinse time, high refill setting, leaking brine valve, incorrect drain line flow control size
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No electrical hazards for programming changes; use caution when adjusting plumbing.
- Increase rinse time: In the Fleck programming, increase the rapid rinse and/or brine rinse times to ensure all brine is flushed from the resin bed.
- Check brine valve sealing: Inspect the brine valve assembly for leaks that could allow brine into service during normal operation. Replace worn components.
- Verify refill volume: Ensure the brine refill time is not set excessively high for the tank and salt dosage.
- Confirm DLFC size: Check that the drain line flow control (DLFC) button is the correct size for the tank. An incorrect DLFC can affect rinse efficiency.
