Possible Causes
Worn piston and seals, debris lodged in valve, misaligned cam, cracked drain line flow control housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Place the valve in bypass to stop the leak temporarily. Unplug power and relieve pressure before opening the valve.
- Check valve position: Ensure the control is actually in service mode and not mid-regeneration.
- Inspect piston and seals: Remove the piston and seal pack. Look for scoring, wear, or debris. Replace with a Fleck piston and seal kit.
- Examine DLFC housing: Remove the drain line flow control housing and inspect for cracks or debris preventing proper sealing. Replace if damaged.
- Realign cam: Verify the cam is correctly aligned with the service position and that the motor stops at the correct point.
