Water remains hard even after recent regeneration

Safety: Turn off power and place the softener in bypass before opening tanks. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling resin or chemicals.

• Test hardness: Use a hardness test kit on water before and after the Foridra softener to confirm poor softening performance.
• Check salt level and type: Ensure the brine tank has adequate high-purity softener salt and that salt bridges are broken up.
• Review settings: Verify hardness and capacity settings on the Foridra controller match your water conditions and tank size.
• Resin cleaning: Run a regeneration with a resin cleaner (iron remover) following the product and Foridra instructions.
• Resin replacement: If performance does not improve, replace the Foridra cation resin media. This involves depressurizing, disconnecting the resin tank, removing old resin and distributor tube, and refilling with new resin and gravel as specified.
