Buttons on the control panel are unresponsive or require very hard presses.

Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing the control panel.

• Step 1 – Check lock feature: Ensure no child lock or keypad lock feature is enabled.
• Step 2 – Inspect keypad: Remove the control cover and check the keypad membrane for bubbles, cracks, or corrosion.
• Step 3 – Reseat connector: Reseat the keypad connector on the control board.
• Step 4 – Replace keypad assembly: If buttons remain unreliable, replace the front keypad/user interface assembly.
