How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Check for keypad lock: Ensure the control is not in a locked state. Unlock per the manual.
- Step 2 – Inspect overlay: Look for bubbles, cracks, or moisture under the keypad overlay.
- Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control cover and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control board.
- Step 4 – Replace overlay or board: If only certain buttons fail, replace the GE keypad overlay. If all buttons fail and the overlay is good, replace the GE electronic control board.
