Possible Causes
Blocked brine injector (venturi), Air leak in brine line, Brine filter clogged, Brine valve stuck closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet valve. Wear gloves when handling brine.
- Check brine level: Ensure there is sufficient water in the brine tank to cover the end of the brine suction tube.
- Inspect brine hose: Look for kinks, cracks, or loose connections between the valve head and the brine tank. Tighten hose clamps and replace brittle hoses.
- Clean injector: Remove the injector (venturi nozzle) from the valve head. Soak it in warm water and gently clean the small orifices with a soft brush. Do not enlarge the holes.
- Clean brine filter: If a small filter is installed at the end of the brine suction tube, remove and rinse it thoroughly to remove salt sludge.
- Test suction: Reassemble, open inlet valve, restore power, and start a manual regeneration. During brine draw, check that the brine level in the tank is slowly falling. If not, the brine valve or injector assembly may need replacement.
