Possible Causes
Ambient temperature too high, Blocked ventilation around unit, Defective internal temperature sensor, Control board overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the control housing.
- Check installation location: Verify that the Grünbeck softener is not installed in a closed, unventilated cabinet or near a heat source (boiler, heater). Ensure adequate clearance around the unit.
- Inspect vents: Clean any dust or debris from ventilation openings on the control housing.
- Check sensor connection: Open the control cover and locate the internal temperature sensor on the PCB or as a separate probe. Ensure it is firmly connected.
- Allow cooling: Let the unit cool for at least 30 minutes with power off, then restore power and check if the error clears.
- Replace sensor or board: If the error reappears immediately and the ambient temperature is normal, the temperature sensor or control board may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
