How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet valve. Relieve pressure via a tap.
- Check actuator: Locate the automatic bypass module on the Grünbeck softener. Ensure the actuator is firmly mounted and the linkage is intact.
- Clean bypass channel: If accessible, remove the bypass module and inspect for scale or debris. Clean with water and an approved descaler, then rinse thoroughly.
- Test position switch: Check the bypass position sensor or microswitch for correct operation with a multimeter. Replace if faulty.
- Reinstall correctly: Ensure seals are correctly seated and the module is installed in the correct orientation. After reassembly, restore power and test switching between service and bypass modes.
