Possible Causes
Mixing valve motor blocked, Scale in mixing valve, Position feedback sensor defective, Incorrect hardness setpoint
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet and outlet valves before working on the mixing valve.
- Check wiring: Inspect the cable from the control unit to the blending valve motor. Ensure connectors are seated and cables undamaged.
- Manually move valve: If possible, manually operate the mixing valve to ensure it is not seized. If stiff, remove and descale the valve body.
- Clean valve: Disassemble the mixing valve according to Grünbeck instructions. Remove scale deposits from the internal parts, lubricate with approved lubricant, and replace worn seals.
- Recalibrate: After reassembly, use the control menu to recalibrate the blending valve and set the desired outlet hardness. If the motor does not respond, replace the blending valve motor assembly.
