Possible Causes

Incorrect hardness input, Flow meter miscounting, Software configuration error, Corrupted capacity data

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal live parts need to be touched for parameter checks, but disconnect power if opening the housing.

  • Verify hardness settings: Check that raw water hardness and desired soft water hardness are correctly entered in the control menu.
  • Check flow meter: Confirm that the flow sensor is working correctly (see flow sensor fault). Incorrect flow pulses can distort capacity calculations.
  • Reset capacity data: In the installer menu, reset the resin capacity and counters to factory defaults, then re-enter site-specific data.
  • Monitor operation: After reset, monitor the number of liters treated between regenerations. If the error recurs, the control PCB may require replacement.
