Possible Causes
Worn piston seals, Cracked valve body, Improper reassembly after service, Excessive inlet pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power, close inlet and outlet valves, and relieve pressure before opening the valve head.
- Locate leak: Dry the valve head and observe where water emerges during a brief pressurization.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the plastic valve body for visible cracks. Replace the valve head if cracked.
- Replace seals: If leakage occurs around the piston or rotating disc, replace the corresponding seal kit using original Grünbeck parts.
- Verify pressure: Ensure that a functioning pressure reducing valve is installed if the mains pressure is high.
