Water tastes salty or has elevated sodium content after regeneration

Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet valve before working on the valve head or drain.

• Check drain flow: Ensure the drain hose is not restricted and that rinse water can flow freely. Clean any blockages.
• Inspect injector: Clean the brine injector (venturi) to ensure correct brine draw and subsequent rinse.
• Verify settings: In the installer menu, confirm that salt dosage and rinse times match Grünbeck specifications for your model.
• Run extra rinse: Manually start an additional rinse cycle (if available) to flush residual salt from the resin bed. If the problem persists, have a technician check the internal valve functions.
