Possible Causes
Clogged inlet/outlet screens, Fouled resin bed with iron or sediment, Partially closed bypass or isolation valves, Undersized plumbing connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water and relieve pressure before removing screens or opening the valve head.
- Check valves: Ensure bypass and isolation valves are fully open and correctly positioned.
- Clean screens: Remove and rinse inlet and outlet screens on the Hansgrohe valve head to clear sediment.
- Backwash test: Initiate a manual regeneration and observe the backwash flow. Weak backwash may indicate severe resin fouling or plumbing restriction.
- Resin cleaning: If iron fouling is suspected, use a resin cleaner compatible with Hansgrohe systems according to product instructions.
- Resin replacement: If flow remains poor and resin is heavily fouled or compacted, replace the resin bed.
