Possible Causes
Loose brine line connection inside valve head, Partially blocked injector, Brine valve coil weak but not open, Brine float stuck closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet valve before servicing brine components.
- Observe regeneration: Start a manual regeneration and watch the brine level. If it does not drop during brine draw, proceed with checks.
- Check float position: Ensure the brine safety float is not stuck in the up (closed) position. Clean and free it if necessary.
- Inspect internal brine fittings: Remove the valve head cover and verify that the internal brine elbow and tubing are firmly connected and not cracked.
- Clean injector and screen: Remove and clean the injector and any associated screens.
- Test coil: Measure the brine valve coil resistance; replace if significantly out of spec.
