Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet valve before opening the valve head cover.

Remove cover: Access the Hansgrohe valve motor and gear train by removing the control head cover.
Inspect gears: Look for broken teeth, excessive play, or metal shavings. Replace the motor/gear assembly if damaged.
Check rotor and cam: Ensure the rotor disc and cam move smoothly without binding. Remove any debris or resin beads.
Lubricate if specified: Apply manufacturer-approved lubricant to moving parts if recommended in the service manual.
Test run: Reassemble and run a manual regeneration while listening for improvement. Persistent loud mechanical noise may require full valve rebuild.
