Possible Causes

Faulty Harvey power adapter, Loose low-voltage connector at control board, Intermittent mains supply, Internal control board power regulator fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Always unplug the unit before handling electrical connections.

  • Check mains outlet: Plug a lamp or other appliance into the same socket to confirm it has stable power.
  • Inspect power adapter: Ensure the Harvey-branded adapter is used and that the cable is not damaged or warm to the touch. Replace if the output is unstable or the casing is cracked.
  • Verify low-voltage plug: Remove the control head cover and check the low-voltage plug from the adapter is firmly seated on the control board.
  • Protect from moisture: Ensure there are no signs of water ingress around the control head that could affect the electronics. Address any leaks before further use.
  • Reprogram settings: After restoring stable power, re-enter the time, hardness, and regeneration settings as per the Harvey manual and clear E06.

If E06 recurs with a known-good adapter and stable mains, the control board’s internal power circuitry may be failing and should be replaced by a qualified service engineer.
