Possible Causes

Corrupted control program, Failing control PCB, Electrical surge damage, Loose board connectors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the control head.

  • Hard reset: Unplug the softener for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and see if E07 clears.
  • Check connectors: Remove the control cover and gently press all multi-pin connectors onto the board to ensure good contact.
  • Restore factory settings: Use the Harvey programming menu to perform a factory reset (refer to the manual). Re-enter hardness, time, and capacity settings.
  • Test regeneration: Start a manual regeneration and observe whether the unit now follows the correct sequence without skipping.

If E07 persists after a factory reset and connector check, the control PCB is likely defective and should be replaced with the correct Harvey board by a professional.
