Possible Causes

Disabled auto-regeneration setting, Incorrect time-of-day or clock setting, Faulty regeneration relay on control board, Flow meter not signalling usage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No plumbing work is required for basic checks; avoid opening the control head while powered.

  • Check clock: Ensure the time-of-day is set correctly on the Harvey control. Incorrect time can prevent scheduled regenerations.
  • Verify regeneration mode: Confirm that automatic regeneration is enabled and not set to manual-only mode.
  • Confirm flow registration: Run a tap and check that the display shows flow. If not, address flow meter issues (see E05).
  • Manual regeneration test: Start a manual regeneration. If the unit will not start at all, the regeneration relay or control board may be faulty.

If E10 persists after correcting settings and confirming flow, contact a Harvey service technician to test the control board and regeneration circuitry.
