Softener display is dim, flickering, or unreadable, but unit still seems to function.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control cover. Avoid flexing the circuit board.

• Check transformer voltage: Verify the transformer is supplying correct voltage. Low voltage can cause dim displays.
• Inspect display connection: Reseat any ribbon cables or connectors between the display and main board.
• Look for moisture damage: Check for condensation or corrosion on the board. Address any leaks or humidity issues around the softener.
• Replace display or board: If the display remains unreadable, replace the display module or entire control board, depending on how the parts are supplied by Hellenbrand.
• Reprogram settings: After replacement, re-enter all system parameters and verify operation.
