No Regeneration – Control / Programming Fault
Softener does not regenerate at all (no cycling), but display is powered and shows normal time.

Possible Causes
Regeneration mode set to off, Meter not registering flow, Time-of-day or regeneration time mis-set, Drive motor failure preventing cycle start
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the valve through regeneration steps by hand under pressure unless instructed by the manual.
- Check regeneration mode: Enter programming and verify the unit is set to metered or time-clock regeneration, not “off” or vacation mode.
- Verify clock and regen time: Ensure the time-of-day is correct and the regeneration time is set to a future off-peak hour.
- Confirm meter operation: Run water at a faucet and check that the display shows flow and remaining capacity decreasing. If not, troubleshoot the turbine/flow meter.
- Initiate manual regeneration: Press and hold the regen button to start a cycle. If nothing happens, suspect a failed drive motor or control board output.
- Repair as needed: Replace the turbine/flow meter if not counting, or the drive motor/control board if the valve will not move into regeneration.
