Possible Causes
Blocked brine injector, Clogged brine line, Stuck brine valve, Low salt level causing no brine formation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power. Close inlet and outlet valves and relieve pressure before opening any valve assemblies.
- Check salt level: Open the brine tank lid. Ensure salt pellets are above the water level and not forming a solid bridge. Break up any salt bridge with a plastic rod.
- Inspect brine line: Follow the small tube from the brine tank to the Idrobase control valve. Check for kinks or air leaks at fittings. Reseat or replace tubing if cracked.
- Clean brine injector: Remove the injector assembly from the control valve (usually under a cap marked "INJECTOR"). Soak the nozzle and throat in vinegar or citric acid to dissolve scale. Rinse thoroughly and reinstall.
- Check brine valve: Remove and inspect the brine valve/float assembly in the brine well. Make sure the float moves freely and the valve is not clogged with salt sludge. Clean and reassemble.
- Test regeneration: Restore water and power, then start a manual regeneration. Observe brine draw at the brine line. If E02 returns, the brine valve or injector assembly may need replacement.
