Possible Causes

Blocked outlet, Closed outlet valve, Excessive inlet pressure, Internal valve blockage in service position

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power. Slowly close inlet valve and open a downstream tap to relieve pressure.

  • Check outlet valve: Ensure the outlet or bypass valves on the Idrobase manifold are correctly positioned for service. A closed outlet can cause overpressure.
  • Inspect downstream plumbing: Look for recently installed shutoff valves or filters that may be closed or clogged.
  • Measure inlet pressure: If available, connect a pressure gauge to the inlet. Verify that pressure is within Idrobase specifications. Install a pressure reducer if pressure is too high.
  • Internal valve check: If overpressure recurs, the service position in the control valve may be partially blocked by resin or debris. Remove and inspect the main piston/rotor and distributor screen. Clean and reassemble.
  • Test: Restore water and power, then run water through the system. Monitor for normal pressure and absence of E06.
