Possible Causes
Damaged keypad membrane, Moisture ingress into display panel, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty control board keypad input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the Idrobase softener from mains power before opening the control panel.
- Inspect front panel: Check for signs of water ingress around the display and buttons. Dry the area and look for corrosion.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the front cover and locate the keypad ribbon cable connection to the main PCB. Reseat the connector and ensure it is fully inserted.
- Clean contacts: If accessible, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free swab.
- Test keypad: Restore power and test each button. If some or all keys remain unresponsive, the keypad membrane is likely defective.
- Replace UI module: Replace the complete display/keypad module or front panel assembly as supplied by Idrobase.
