Safety: Wear gloves and eye protection when dealing with corrosion or chemicals. Disconnect power.

• Identify source: Look for nearby chemical storage (pool chemicals, cleaners) or leaks dripping onto the Idrobase softener.
• Correct environment: Relocate chemicals away from the softener and improve ventilation.
• Repair leaks: Fix any plumbing leaks above or near the control head.
• Replace damaged parts: Replace corroded brackets, screws, or valve components as needed. Severe corrosion on the valve or tank may require replacement of the affected assembly.
