Possible Causes

Loose tank adapter, Damaged O-ring between valve and tank, Cracked valve body, Over-tightened fittings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power, close inlet and outlet valves, and relieve pressure before loosening any fittings.

  • Identify leak source: Dry the area and observe where water first appears: at the valve-tank joint, side ports, or fittings.
  • Tighten fittings: Gently tighten union nuts and threaded fittings by hand plus a small additional turn. Do not overtighten plastic parts.
  • Inspect O-ring: If leaking at the valve-tank joint, remove the valve head and inspect the large tank O-ring. Replace if flattened, cracked, or cut. Lubricate with silicone grease before reassembly.
  • Check for cracks: Examine the Idrobase valve body and tank neck for hairline cracks. Replace any cracked component.
  • Retest: Slowly repressurize the system while watching for leaks.
