Possible Causes

Clogged Judo venturi injector, Blocked brine line or brine filter, Air leak at brine line connections, Stuck brine valve in the Judo control head

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the inlet valve. Wear gloves and eye protection when working around salt brine.

  • Check brine level: Ensure there is adequate water in the brine tank. If the tank is completely dry, the system cannot draw brine; investigate the refill stage as well.
  • Clean venturi injector: Locate the venturi/injector assembly in the Judo valve head (often under a small cover held by screws). Remove the injector and nozzle, soak them in warm water, and clear any salt or iron deposits with a soft brush. Do not enlarge the orifices.
  • Inspect brine line: Follow the brine hose from the valve head to the brine well. Check for kinks, blockages, or hardened sections. Remove and flush the line if necessary.
  • Check for air leaks: Ensure all hose clamps and push-fit connections are tight. Air leaks prevent proper suction. Replace cracked hoses or O-rings.
  • Test brine draw: After reassembly, start a manual regeneration and observe the brine level. It should slowly drop during the brine draw phase. If not, the internal brine valve may be stuck and the Judo brine valve / injector assembly may need replacement.
