Possible Causes
Contaminated optical salt sensor, Corroded salt level probe, Disconnected sensor harness, Failed salt level sensor module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any sensor covers. Wear gloves when working inside the salt tank.
- Locate sensor: Identify the salt level or brine sensor in the Judo brine tank (optical window or metal probes depending on model).
- Clean sensor: Gently clean the sensor surface with a soft cloth and warm water to remove salt crust, sludge, or iron deposits. Do not use abrasive tools.
- Check wiring: Trace the sensor cable back to the control head. Ensure the connector is fully seated and free of corrosion or moisture.
- Test operation: After cleaning, restore power and run the sensor test from the Judo service menu if available. If the sensor still does not respond or E06 persists, replace the Judo salt level sensor.
- Manual monitoring: Until the sensor is replaced, visually check salt level regularly to avoid running out of salt.
