Possible Causes
Kinked or blocked Judo drain hose, Frozen or elevated drain line causing backpressure, Clogged drain flow restrictor, Obstructed building drain connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve before disconnecting the drain hose. Be prepared for water discharge.
- Inspect drain hose: Follow the entire length of the Judo drain hose. Straighten kinks, remove sharp bends, and ensure the hose is not pinched behind the cabinet.
- Check for blockage: Disconnect the hose at the valve head and blow through it or flush with water to confirm it is clear. Remove any sediment or scale.
- Verify drain height: Ensure the drain hose does not rise higher than the maximum height specified by Judo. Excessive elevation can prevent proper flow.
- Clean flow restrictor: Some Judo valves include a drain flow restrictor or orifice. Remove and clean it if clogged with debris.
- Test discharge: Reconnect the hose, open the inlet, and start a manual backwash. Observe the drain flow; it should be strong and steady. If E07 persists, the internal drain valve in the control head may be defective.
