Possible Causes
Valve not reaching required positions, Excessive backwash time due to low pressure, Control program corruption, Mechanical obstruction in resin tank riser or distributor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close inlet/outlet valves before servicing.
- Check water pressure: Confirm that mains pressure meets Judo's minimum requirement. Very low pressure can prolong backwash and brine draw.
- Inspect valve movement: Remove the valve cover and observe the motor and cam during a manual regeneration. If the valve hesitates or stalls, investigate for mechanical binding or replace the Judo valve motor assembly.
- Check resin tank internals: If you suspect blockage, remove the valve head (after depressurizing and draining) and inspect the riser tube and bottom distributor for resin fines or debris clogging the slots.
- Reset programming: Perform a factory reset and re-enter all parameters. If E16 continues, the control logic or valve assembly may require professional service.
