Possible Causes
Valve motor unable to complete cycle, Jammed rotor or piston in Judo valve head, Faulty valve position encoder, Low supply voltage during regeneration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close inlet/outlet valves. Open a nearby tap to relieve pressure.
- Inspect valve head: Remove the control head cover and check for obvious mechanical obstructions or broken parts around the cam and rotor.
- Check motor and encoder: Gently rotate the cam (if allowed by Judo) to see if it is seized. Do not force it. If it is very stiff, internal seals or debris may be binding the rotor.
- Restore power and observe: With the cover off, power the unit and attempt to advance the cycle. If the motor hums but does not move, replace the Judo valve motor / encoder assembly.
- Verify power supply: Ensure the adapter is delivering stable voltage; replace if suspect.
- Professional service: If the rotor or piston is jammed inside the valve body, the valve head may need to be rebuilt or replaced by a technician.
