Brine tank fills with water and overflows or water level remains very high after regeneration.

Safety first: Place the softener in bypass and unplug power (if electronic). Wear gloves when working with brine.

• Check float shut‑off: Ensure the brine float assembly rises and shuts off water flow when lifted. If it does not, clean or replace the float valve.
• Inspect brine line: Disconnect the brine line at the control head and at the brine well. Check for blockages or salt crystals. Flush with warm water.
• Clean brine valve seat: Access the brine valve in the control head (refer to service manual). Remove and inspect the seat and seals for debris or wear. Clean and reassemble.
• Adjust refill setting (if adjustable): On some models, the brine refill volume is adjustable via a restrictor or program setting. Ensure it matches Kinetico specifications.

Warning: An overflowing brine tank can cause property damage. Do not leave the system unattended until the fault is resolved.
