How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and isolate the water supply. Depressurise the system.

Check external bypass: Confirm the Kinetico bypass manifold is in the correct "Service" position and not accidentally left in bypass.
Inspect actuator: Remove the control head cover and locate the inlet/outlet valve actuator. Check for obvious damage, broken linkages, or disconnected wiring.
Manual movement: If the design allows, gently move the actuator or cam through its travel to ensure it is not seized. Do not force it.
Electrical test: With power restored, command a regeneration and observe whether the actuator attempts to move. If there is no movement and no sound, the actuator coil or motor may be open circuit.
Replace actuator: If the actuator is seized or electrically open, replace the inlet/outlet valve actuator assembly.

Warning: Incorrect handling of the actuator can cause leaks or misalignment of the control valve. If unsure, seek professional service.

Kinetico electronic softener shows E07 and remains in bypass or service without softening water.
